Supplements to help with birth and recovery

Since joining 3rd tri I've realised that quite a few women posting their birth stories have taken supplements or drunk raspberry tea. What is everyone here doing and what do you think it will do?

i'm drinking RLT and (when i remember) bouncing on my ball, just hoping to prepare my body for labour really, make sure i'm at least doing something that *may* just help tone the bits that could do with toning.
and i started the ball cos baby was breech at mw appt and i wanted to 'help' along with getting baby in position.

basically anything easy that will possibly make labour more bearable. but im lazy so not much more than that!!

I will be getting RLT to drink from 35 weeks onwards. I didn't get around to it until 39 weeks last time and it didn't taste too bad. Worth a try again lol.

Other than that, lots of walking and a bit of extra iron to avoid too much blood loss lol.

Ooooh labour plans lol

I am taking red raspberry supplements. I took them with my last pregnancies and I was able to deliver pain med free.. all natural. And my breast milk came in orange which is a great sign meaning it had tons of nutrients! The nurse saw it and said I could sell it that I was producing top notch milk. It strengthens my uterus and helps with breast milk. It works! I swear by it. Labor is way easy and so is pushing.

Holland and Barrett is where i get mine. online, and probs any other health food shop do it...but H and B have that buy one get one half price on everything dealio....i find the tea pretty tasty, but if ur not a fan of herbal teas, maybe get the tablets?

im not sure which is more effective but from what iv read, tea seems to work well for most ladies!! might all be coincidence really but it's worth a try!!

I am starting RLT and EPO this week. Supposed to have started at 32 and 34 weeks but I have baby brain and keep forgetting to buy it I had a 9 minute pushing stage last time so it helped me and the EPO is for softening and preparing the cervix.

xx
