Ok so i just need a rant realy sitting in the car.with fil yesterday he was trying to guess our name we told him he wo be able to guess as its a unique name he started making jokes about it being russian and i said the name anastasia was on our shortlist but its not the one we have chosen he then procides to come out with "you better not go all foreghn on me she better have a normal name" urrrggggggg this made my blood boil and is one of the reasons i am keeping the name a secret A. how dare he be so offencive i hope this kind of narrow mindedness is not picked up by my daughter as i think its awful and B . We will name our baby girlwhatever we chose he has absalutly no say or opinion she is our daughter if hes at all rude about the name we have chosen i wont bite my toung i will say exactly what i think. may i just add hes also planning to ram football down my little girls throut im sorry but i wont be going round there house to watch the footballso why would my little girl also they sware and shout at the telly wilst its on im not having my child around that they dont seem to understand that jut because they all like football it dosnt meen i will start watching it and make my daughter when i say she may like dolls and cartoons rather than sport they laugh at me like im silly im so frickin sick of them thinking im having this baby for them she will be my fricking daughter and i will not have her made to feel like she has to like stuff because they say so . *RANT OVER*

Oh i know how you feel hun! When i was pregnant with my first we had decided to call him Kian even before he was concieved and once he was born my FIL insisted on calling him paddy because he hated kian and he may aswell be called paddy

Awww kian is a lovely name hope this dosnt happen as i will flip out i realy get on well with my in laws but since i got pregnant its got harder to keep calm abut things its like because baby will have there sirname they dont want to acnoledge that actualy my family will be playing a big a big part of baby girls life im realy close to them .

At the end of the day you and your partner are the childs parents and only you have the right to name your child exactly what you wish to!
All our boys have irish names so thats a massive up yours to FIL he didnt even know our second child existed until he was 7month old and he doesnt know im pregnant now either!
We have Kian, Ryan, Liam...and if we have another boy he will be called Connor...lol what would he say if he knew
