with dd i used to change it everytime she did a wee, i admit i went through alot of nappies doing this, but i buy them when on offer and using vouchers

but most people i know kept their babies in their nappies till it was full (could squeeze nappy and feel wees in it)

they never had issues with nappy rash but i just dont like the idea of sitting in pee

For us we did it at every feed, plus the odd time it just feels abit full and obviously if he'd done a poo, I'd say that's around 8-12 nappies a day at first and my LO never got any nappie rash at all x

I used to change the boys every time they were getting a feed. Other times if the nappy felt spongey when holding them. There was occasions though where a full change was required as it has soaked right through.

There's no right or wrong answer, change your baby as often as you feel you need to.

A little tip though if your baby tends to fall asleep quickly during there feed wait to half way through then change nappy as the air on their tiny bum should wake them up enough to take some more milk.

Every 2 hours is a good rule - unless of course there is poo or a leak which obviously you'd take care of right away. Every 20 minutes might become rather costly - and i really don't think they go that often.

12 diapers average - maybe more or less depending on the day!

my ds is 8 days old he feeds roughly every 2-3 hrs i change him half way through each feed as it wakes him bk up as he tends to fall asleep after 10 mins on the breast so i change him then he'll go bk on the boobie for more milk and i also change him as soon as hes pooed too

Before each feed... also helps baby wake up enough to feed if they are sleepy! Before means less moving around after the feed especially if baby is prone to vomitting!

If you have a baby that poops during the feed or straight after then wait till afterwards to do it.

If your baby cries or doesnt settle due to a dirty nappy then change it, but if your baby is asleep it wont harm it to be left.
