Moving over early, for some opinions.

Hey all! I shouldn't be moving over to the 3rd tri thread until next week, but I need help. This is my first baby and I'm not sure if I will be able to handle this.

My husband has been asked to be the Master of Ceremonies for friend's of ours getting married a week after our due date. He of course accepted, and I'm already fretting and I know I shouldn't be.

The wedding is a 6 hour drive away, and we would stay at a friend's house who won't be home at the time. Do you think, if everything goes as planned and I have a one week old baby, that this trip is doable?

I know I want to breastfeed, and will be feeding every 2 hours.. we've been reading every book we can and we just can't make up our minds. So I'm looking for someone that has had a baby before and knows what to expect.. because I have no idea! HELP!

So my options are:

1. We both go to the wedding, bring baby along.

2. Husband goes alone, and I stay at home with baby.

3. We both go, bring the baby and my mother-in-law to help.

4. Husband can still back out of being the MC and we both stay home.

I don't want to complicate things further but what if you go over due or into labour while away? Or if you need to stay in hospital a little longer than planned after birth? Or if you need to have a section?

In view of that I would stay home and have your husband stay too

After just 1 week you will both be pretty exhausted and probably not up for a 6 hour trip.

Though you might give birth at 37 weeks and if so its more do able! What ever you decide though I am sure your friends would understand x

Don't worry thats definitely on my mind too! I would feel bad if baby didn't come on time and husband had to stay home in case I went into labour! He will NOT miss the birth of his first child, and 6 hours might not be enough time to drive to meet me at the hospital!

I am not sure you will be up for sitting in a car for 6 hours a week after you give birth. I would just stay at home and let DH go alone.
