6 pounds at 34+5 big baby? - Page 2

I had a growth scan at 34+3 and baby was around 5 lbs... They said she was 46%ile. Her abdomen was a bit behind. I have another scan Friday as I have hypertension and megan was iugr. They are trying to decide whether to induce at 37 or 38 weeks.

If you are induced the 13th there is also the chance that baby won't be born til the 14th. I was induced starting with cervadil for 12 hrs to ripen my cervix before even starting the real induction with pitocin so I suppose it depends on what time they start things and how things progress. I understand about the dates though as I realized my baby may be born on st patricks day and it's hard to wrap my head around that a bit, lol.

Hi, at 34 + 5 my LO is measuring 7lb 4oz !! No one is that worried about it but I am now having another growth scan at 37 +4, this is only because my LO is measuring well over the 99th percentile and all the measurements are off the charts.

I hope he comes on his own any day before the 13th...ugh!! I know it is just another day but still, I don't like odd numbers anyways. I doubt my labor will last that long. I go in to be induced at 5AM and should have him by noon... my last baby was born at before 2PM when I was induced with him. So if I go in on the 13th, I will have a baby on the 13th.

i had a growth scan at 34+2 and baby was estimated at 6lb 10oz!!
they said he was measuring a couple of weeks ahead all of a sudden, but that also, some babies dont grow too much in the last month, so my little man could have had his growth spurt already and now slow down.
have another growth scan next thursday at 37+2.

I was born on Friday the 13th and I loved it growing up as it's so unique and it's great for birthdays. I have been told my baby is massive. Measuring 7 weeks ahead and weight is over 7 pound 8 two weeks ago. I'm being induced at about 38 weeks. I'm thinking of he baby and the healthiest option for her. If going early is better than so be it. These docs deliver thousands of babies all the time so they do know what there talking about. It's your decision entirely what you want to do .
