is this normal?
when I wiped there was a lot of brownish spotting and mucus like stuff but it wasn't enough to constitute a plug just gunk really sorry TMI but my question is it too early to be spotting?? I would think it normal if it was happening ten weeks from now at 37 weeks but I've only just hit 27 and am a bit worried.
Get it checked out! I'm 33 wks and had similar over the past week. Midwifes were concerned about baby coming early so gave me steroid shots to mature baby's lungs. It turned out to be nothing but you can never be too careful.
It probably is nothing but I would give your midwife a call I have had spotting at 16 weeks and 25weeks and it was due to my low lying placenta but they do tell you to call as soon as you have any type of spotting just to be on the safe side.
I had the exact same thing at 28 weeks, I got kept in overnight and had to get a growth scan and put on a monitor. It turns out my cervix had started to erode and part of the neck of my womb was exposed so it bled a tiny bit but it wasnt enough to worry about. It can be triggered by dtd. The doctors said it is quite normal but always go get checked if you have any spotting just incase.
Good luck, update with how you get on.
