Strange question (TMI)

So I just coughed up a bloody loogie (sorry about the TMI), which I wouldn't be too worried about if it had happened in the morning. But the thing is, its 2am here and it just happened. I haven't really had a bloody nose throughout pregnancy, just a little blood here and there when blowing my nose. But the loogie has got me worried. It was completely bloody and relatively big. I also had a little blood earlier today, but didn't think to much of it until now. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal?

OH said it was probably from a bloody nose I got last night while sleeping, but that wouldn't make sense why it would happen so late the next day?

I've had a bad cold the past few weeks and had a lot of postnasal drip while sleeping that would make me hack up loogies in the morning...and throughout the day. Also, I've gotten bloody mucous without having an actual nosebleed....like there's blood way up in my sinuses but nothing that actually causes a gusher.

Has your chest felt congested? Have you felt sick or been coughing a lot? If you're worried about it, call your midwife...or see your regular doctor. I would say though, watch your symptoms...if you start to feel bad and get a fever go to urgent care...never hurts.

Ive just gotten over a cold. So maybe thats it? I just found it strange as I wasn't coughing or anything before. Just kind of did that thing where you intentionally try and get a loogie up and a lot more came up than expected and it was bloody, freaked me out. Idk, its probably nothing. But after googling it, I have figured that I probably have lung cancer =P lol.

Yea...I'm sure there are a number of scary things you could have!

Don't go to webmd and do the symptoms checker. I did that last night cuz the left side of my neck is so sore...probably just a muscle...but it listed like 20 scary things and then a pop-up came up saying to always go to the emergency room with neck pain..all yellow and red with exclamations...lol!
