if you have had a 3d, or 4d ultrasound.....

I have never had one, and I am super excited to have a 4d one tomorrow. I have read to drink plenty of water to get good pictures. I am 31+ weeks, and when I googled online I read that at this stage they are too big to get anything but face shots. Is this true?? We were kind of hoping to double check the sex....hehe. I also was wondering, is she has hair, will it show up? My son had a ton of hair and I am just curious to see if she will as well.

they cut off at around 30weeks as babys tend to get pretty squishy in there by then with little room to move, my pic below is of my little girl at 29weeks.

they should be able to check the sex, but you would probably only get some good face shots of baby in 4d, not full body shots though

thanks! they recommended we have it done after 32 weeks to make sure face was cute and chubby. I guess they figure with this one, you mainly just want to get a good look at the face.

I do 3d 4d ultrasound. Where i work at cut off date is 36 weeks. Bring or drink orange juice before the scan which helps keep the baby awake. hydrate well a week before the scan, the clearer your amniotic fluid the clearer the pics. 31, 32 and 33 weeks in my opinion is perfect. Good luck...

I had mine at 29 weeks it was amazing! Didn't get to check the sex though but I didn't ask I'm sure they will for you!
