anyone else really feel like they're NEVER going to go into labour?

Bit of a moan so I apologise girls but i'm sure theres others in the same boat?

To cut a long story short, my community Midwife told me 9 days ago now that I was in "early labour", which although surprised me as i'm not due for another week and a bit, as you can imagine has left me feeling frustrated and fed up that she still hasn't made an appearance

I've had days of very regular tightenings, terrible back ache, bad period like pains etc but i don't ever feel any closer to going into real labour.

I've not bothered to go and get checked out because although the pains and tightenings are uncomfortable, i know they're not bad enough to be labour.

A few days ago I felt baby's head drop even lower (i don't think it could get much lower now without falling out!!) which gave me terrible pelvic pain.... i actually haven't been able to walk without being hobbled over for 3 days now so i'm really getting fed up.

Anyone else been told they're in early labour but didn't progress for over a week??
