Anyone used Fybogel for constipation??

So I've been having some dull aches in my lower abdomen and a lovely lady on here suggested to me that constipation could be the cause. It's different than normal constipation pain, but then everything is different in pregnancy! I have realised that yes, it could be a cause as I haven't been to the toilet in a few days aside from one small one (tmi sorry) on Thursday night. This isn't unusual for me, even when not pregnant, but perhaps the added pressure of the baby is making it worse??

Anyway, I was in town this morning and I got some Fybogel, which the NHS says is safe to use in pregnancy. Has anyone else used it? and does it actually work?? I was out of prune juice!

yes and although gross it does work. i found the lactulose gave me tummy ache. key i found is to keep taking it even when things are back to normal to keep the constipation at bay for good!

(you have to keep stirring it lots, dont let it settle into the jelly gunk!!)

I suffer from this all the time. I take fybogel everyday, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. I cannot take it in water though, totally gross. I put it in some dilute orange juice. And drink quickly, the longer it sits, the more jelly gunk you get!
