Anyone else suddenly become a nesting nut

Okay I am the most chilled out person- some may call it lazy when it comes to neatness and organisation.

I am due today and before now haven't really done much nesting but today i suddenly got the urge, nobody could believe it as it is so out of character lol
Anyways, I spent five hours straight rearranging furniture, cleaning, polishing etc

Anyone else ??

xx

I'm slowly getting there. Today I cleaned my kitchen, washed everything, then got caught up with all of the laundry. Not to sound like a slob haha, but that's not like me whatsoever. I'm usually a little slow with doing house work!

You don't sound like a slob, I totally understand..

I actually thought nesting was made up and that women exaggerated it, but wow was I wrong. I actually enjoyed it

Thanks for your reply x

I am!!! BAD!

OH has so much shyte that he insists on keeping in the closet all year round...including snowboarding gear, 4 hiking backpacks full of hiking gear, a tent, three sleeping bags, shovels, pool toys, fishing waist waders, fishing poles, etc. and we live in 1-bedroom apartment!!!!!!!!!! He has the option to put this junk in a shed we have out back...but no. He wanted to keep his BICYCLE in the living room but I put my foot down on that one real fast. I was on my hands and knees re-arranging the closet, when he popped in the door with a bunch of airplane GPS gear and snowboard shyte! He proceeded to dump his greasy, messy stuff on this $$$ area rug I bought last weekend!

OMG! I burst into tears!

It took him 4 months of nagging before he raised the bed so we could store more stuff for baby underneath it...because it was already STUFFED with his 4 giant gun cases...

Now whenever I see mess/unorganized junk in the house, I feel VERY overwhelmed and begin sobbing. Hahah...I was diagnosed with OCD at 14.....nesting has made it so much worse!

My boss has really benefitted from my nesting though...her office that's been a complete utter mess for the last 2 years is now completely organized. It took me a full 8 hours to clean it!

My cousin had her baby a few months ago, and the night before she went into labour she posted on Facebook about her crazy nesting! Maybe it means you're extremely close.

I haven't had any nesting whatsoever so far, I'm thinking it'll be similar to my cousin where it's something that just hits me right before I go into labour!

I know once I finish work I will be, I just don't have the motivation at the moment because I know I am still stuck in the rat race!

Thanks for all your replies ladies

Alaskagrown- Although you are overwhelmed by all your husbands stuff I couldn't help but think "what a lucky baby". Your OH has so much pass times and hobbies baby can share. I live in a small village in Ireland that doesn't offer much activities and I always feel bad for LO. Fishing, snowboarding etc sounds bliss. Good luck with evertrhing

staralfur- Ahhh i hope I am also going to be like your cousin and go tonight. Have a sweep scheduled for tomorrow but id like baby to come in his own time and not feel forced out. Thanks for reply.

xx
