Haha, I hope my cat gets more friendly then! I'm 26 weeks now and she's still as unfriendly a bugger as the day we got her...I keep reminding myself that when the baby arrives I'll probably be glad that the cat keeps herself to herself, but I can't help thinking we wouldn't have bothered getting her if we'd have known she'd be so uninterested in humans! Fingers crossed there'll suddenly come a day late on in 3rd trimester when she leaps on my lap and doesn't want to leave...

If she does that then I'll definitely believe it is an 'sign' because that is NOT her normal behaviour. They do have such a good sense of smell, perhaps they are sniffing something that humans can't?!

ever since ive became pregnant my one cat has been twice as friendly, they both stalk me around the house, if I close a door to a room that they arent in they will both go lay down beside it till I leave. I truely think they can sense the changes.

My male cat hasn't changed his behavior at all, but my female cat has literally glued herself to me almost since I first found out I was pregnant.

She was always an affectionate cat but now she's over the top. She follows me around all the time and "talks" to me when she wants me to sit/lie down so she can snuggle. She LOVES to climb up and spread herself over my bump and purrs her head off (baby loves the purring!) whenever I'm sitting or lying down. She actually gets very upset if I'm sitting/lying down and she can't get in my lap because I'm eating or something and she sits there and stares at me until I put my food down and then she throws herself at me.
