hiccups? did baby move?

So I think I was feeling hiccups this morning? I haven't felt them yet so wasn't sure if it was them or not. They felt like rythmic kicks and lasted for about a minute. Thing is it was way down about two inches below my belly button but the midwife said yesterday that she thought Lilly's head was up by my ribs?? Then I thought maybe it was just an artery pulsing but I felt her moving and poking up close to where the hiccups were. Did baby turn or was my midwife completely mistaken on which way she was lying? Maybe it was her butt she was feeling instead of her head? And was it hiccups I was feeling?

Hmmmm, not sure. When I feel my Lily having the hiccups, it feels like a tiny tap low in my pelvis repeatedly for a few minutes. Kind of what you'd think popcorn would feel like as it pops against you.

This was probably hiccups I started to feel these regularly at about the stage you're at now and my little one still gets them regularly Baby still has plenty of room at 28 weeks so could well have turned. Often now, even at 36 weeks, when my little one has hiccups s/he will be moving around a bit at the same time and the location of the hiccups will move slightly

Thanks girls! Its so cute that they get hiccups in there! Lol
Megangrohl: that's exactly what it felt like, tapping over and over. Just Didnt really know how to describe it! Yay for both our girls being named Lilly!(:

Nat: your probably right. She moves allll the time so Im not surprised if she moved head down overnight, she'll probably end up close to my ribs again later today! Hehe

So then it probably was the hiccups, and yes Lily is a lovely name! And also, if you feel them higher up it doesn't mean her head is up there - it can shake their whole body so you'd feel it all over at that stage.

I don't know about the other Lily's but MY Lily, hiccups flat out for what feels like 15 minutes! It has gotten to the point where its lost its novelty and I'm just like OH FOR GOODNESS SAKE! Sometimes it makes me laugh thouugh thinking about her in there hiccupping away in there. When my Lily hiccups sometimes its so forceful her big bum moves up underneath my ribs and by jaysus it is the most painful thing ever!

lol I bet they haven't a clue what's happening when they hiccup! I found it cute for a while but now when she does it I shout out "LILY WHAT ARE YOU DOING" and she stops for a few seconds and then is away hiccuping again. That sounds really evil, but its funny! Its like she is caught doing something she is not meant to but then chances her arm again!

So many little Lilies will be running around soon!
