Am I crazy??!!

So I'm beyond 37 weeks and baby is still breech and i'm 5 cm dilated!!! I went to see my doc yesterday and I asked her to try and do a ECV to flip the baby and she repeated what she told me last week which was since I was so dilated she will most likely pop my waters and that since my first was a c-section (second was vbac) that it has a risk to it. I asked her last week which is riskier, having a vbac or an ECV, in terms of uterus rupture, and she said vbac is riskier, which I have already done and survived I had read online in several places that they did a study on women who have had c-sections before and got an ECV and no cases of rupture happened.. so that made me feel comfortable in a way about it. sooo.. she was like, what if I break your waters you would have to have a c-section right away! so I suggested they give me an epidural first, then try the ECV, that way I don't feel all the pain and if anything were to happen Im already drugged for a c-section! and she agreed!
I am booked for Monday at 11 am! I'm scared that i'm being too daring with my body..even though I read positive stories about ECV's after c-sections and while being dilated I didn't read any with both cases at the same time.
also I know that I could go into labor at any second because of being so dilated and I lost my plug and i'm almost completely effaced but I still feel like i'm pushing him out being only 38 weeks on Monday..but if I want a chance at another vbac I think this is my only option. and I am sooooooo wanting a vbac, I had such a hard time with my c-sec the first time and I didn't have kids to run after at the time! I know it would be horrible this time.
Thank you for reading especially if you got this far.

Wow 5 cm already! Well, all I can say is good luck and that not every experience is the same. It may be successful and may not and all you can do is try and hope for the best. GL hun

Hun, I think you are brave (not crazy) I think you have taken enough necessary precautions for the best possible outcome. I hope everything goes well for you. Best of luck!

i think if your doc is onboard then you don't have to feel crazy.

however, i did want to just make one suggestion for a last minute home attempt to turn baby. my son was breech at 36.5 weeks, so i applied a large bag of ice to the top of my bump where his head is (poor little guy) and left it there as long as i could. he managed to turn himself around overnight. my doc suggested it, so it's pretty safe, but no guarantee. might be something to try before you have your procedure though.

good luck!

I think you are brave too and you are doing why is best for you. You know your own body and you have done your research. I'm sure everything will be fine. Best of luck to you xx

Thank you!! I am going to try that right now..I would really prefer if he would turn on his own
