Mums whove been induced, was it an instrumental birth/CSection?

Just curious how many of you were induced and weather you needed assistance& what type?

I was induced with Megan at 37 weeks with pitocin. No csection or forceps, etc. Pushing stage was 8 pushes... And I had an epi.

I'm being induced with this baby tomorrow!!! And so hoping it goes as smooth as it did with my first!

Did they decide to induce you tomorrow?

I'm curious about this too. I'm being induced in about 4 weeks and am terrified of not progressing and needing c-sec.

Just to let you know though natural labours can end in assistance too. My DD was natural labour but ended up with ventouse (and the recovery wasn't as bad as I thought) GL hun xx

Yes, it does raise your risk (generally pitocin being more likely to do so rather than a sweep).

I didn't have an instrumental delivery but it contributed to shoulder dystocia.

I was induced with Hollie due to IUGR at 38+5. Took 2 pessaries to get me going, epidural, episiotomy, failed ventouse and then forceps, not an experience I'd like to repeat in a hurry She just wasn't ready imo.

xx
