Got strong very quickly so went into hospital when 4 mins apart. After the 10 min car journey they were every other minute when we arrived. Was checked, at 8cm, but wanted to start pushing and baby born 7 mins later.

It was amazing!! We left the hospital 6 hours later, so were there for less than 7 hours in total. Couldn't be happier with everything, although a little in shock still!

Congratulations. I would like to order a labour like yours please.

Another April bunny is here. Samuel was born 2 days early on 3rd April weighing 7lb 10oz. It was a very quick birth under 3 hours from waters breaking and think i'm still in shock.

Good luck to the rest of you april ladies still waiting and congrats to all the ladies with their little ones.

My April baby arrived on April 2nd 3 weeks 1 day early after my waters broke 12.30 am on the 1st April.

Labour didn't start on its own so Monday afternoon I had an internal done to find that I was already 3cm dilated and could be moved to L&D to have the syntocin drip started. Once this was started I had contractions coming 1 every 5 mins and still breathable. Sent hubby out for a smoke as warned him it would be long and drawn out like all my other labours were. This was about 4.30 to 5 pm, 7.30 i sent hubby to get something to eat.

Jump to just before 8pm I asked the midwife not to turn the drip up more as I needed the loo, i could feel that he had moved down with the contractions and they started to hurt more than before. I made it to the bathroom after having 2 contractions then another 2 before the midwife came back to check on me, bearing in mind this was all in about 3 to 4 mins. I told her I thought he was coming and she laughingly told me not to have him standing up!

So I climb on the bed and midwife exams me to find baby's birth was iminent. poor hubby only just managed to make it back in the room just in time to see his baby son being born lol.

So after having labours that were long and drawn out and 1 emergency section in the past, this labour was active for just 2 hrs and 50 mins with just 2 pushes and gas and air for the last couple of minutes.

Baby Harry was born at 8.01pm on April 2nd weighing 6lb 8oz. We were kept in hospital for 2 days as Harry needed IV antibiotics due to my waters broken for so long. We are now home and settling in really well with breastfeeding going good too.

I wish all the april mummies a happy and safe labour and delivery
