today i m feeling so depressed. this was not the first time. last saturday also i was awake whole night with period cramps and bach ache but nothing proceeded. now this last night from 2:30am onwards i was awake with tightenings and contrctions spreading from my lower back to front and then down the tummy.went to no2(tmi) then had contractions 10-20 min apart uptil 4:30 am then they went more farther.now everything is gone. i m so depressed as nothing progressed and i m still waiting.

On the positive side, your body must be doing something for you to have had all those pains etc...Hopefully it'll mean that when things get going properly you won't have too long a labour!

I am sorry that your dealing with this!! I have been doing this for a week now, last weekend I even had my bloody show went into l&d my ob said that I was in early labor and it would be a few days before active labor kicked in. He said that there was no way that I would make it to today and here I am still having painful contractions that wake me up all night and drive me insane all day and NO BABY!! I have my ob apt today and I really hope that I am closer to having her because I can't take this anymore. Last time I was checked I was only a fingertip dilated (so half a cm) 95% effaced and +1. If I have made it to 1cm I am asking for a sweep!!!

Hang in there sweetie, this all has to end sometime soon RIGHT?

EDIT: I went to my apt and I am now 2 cms dilated 100% effaced and in between +1 & +2 so they are doing something I am hoping that your contractions are doing the same for you. My contractions are more painful and I can feel them in my lady bits/cervix. I should of know that they were doing something I also got so excited I forgot to ask for a sweep but if I am still pregnant at my next apt I am going to ask if he will do one.

i just pray that these contractions are doing there job.not a checkup for me until monday. wbb hope u also meet ur li'one very soon in a healthy way(that's more important). till then we can just wait n watch. but this back pain is a killer.
