Oyster V Sola

Ive just posted this in second tri but want to see what everyone else thinks too

I'm finding it so difficult to decide!! I went to my local pram shop today and got to test them both out and its safe to say I love them both now.

Oyster- lightweight, stylish, great choice of colours including black chassis, reversible. However it doesnt lie flat so you do need the additional carrycot costing a total of around £466

Sola- VERY lightweight, stylish (but not as good looking as the oyster), lies flat so not necessary to buy the additional carrycot, reversible, only costs £295. However it only comes with silver chassis and the colour choices arent great as I dont want black or denim so really the only one suitable for a boy is the green one.

Let me know what you think about both of these please

xx

I loved both of these also but looked at them both as I wanted a carrycot with my pushchair so the oyster not being suitable from birth wasnt an issue... I went for the oyster as being team yellow it means I can add a colour pack when little one arrives, if Id of known what Im having I may of gone for the sola as there are some lovely fabrics but Im happy with my choice and love the mirror frame of the oyster (bought black but took it back and switched when the mirror was released)
I have noticed lots of oyster carrycots on Ebay and as baby out grows them fast you could always buy the pram new but opt for a pre owned carrycot at half the price and just remove and wash covers ? x

we looked at both as well and went for the oyster. mothercare pri ce matched so we paid £199 for silver chassis and black colour pack. I intend to pick up a carrycot off ebay if we decide to get one but will be using the cabrio fix carseat for now x

I think if i go for the oyster I will definately buy a carry cot 2nd hand. Ive seen one on gum tree for £60 quid!! Even the colour packs you can get cheaper on ebay. Its such a hard decision lol. The only thing swaying me more towards the oyster is that if I ever decide to have baby number 3 and it turns out to be a girl I could simply change the colour rather than buying a whole nother pram!

We've bought the sola for this DD and LOVE it! And I'd recommend one that lies flat. Our first DD had a pram that didn't and my goodness what am annoyance it was when we were somewhere and she wanted to sleep. She could never get comfy it was a nightmare. The sola is so easy to push and fold. Good also of your OH is tall. Sola is the only one my DH has pushed and not had to hunch (he's 6'4")

We have the oyster and although we haven't used it yet, we love it! We bought ours in mothercare and spent about £360 including the carrycot and colour packs
