Upper Back Pain...Labor??

I woke up this morning really uncomfortable. All across my upper back (upper rib cage, shoulder blades, shoulders) is very achey and sore. I've had my husband massage it and tried to stretch, but it is still here almost 12 hours later. It's not heartburn as I take prilosec for that every night. My heartburn usually only shows up as horrible acid reflux in my throat and I haven't had any of that since I started the prilosec.

Thoughts? I've had a lot of braxton hicks for about a month now and I'm very uncomfortable all around today. Sharp stabbing pains in my cervix everyday for several weeks too.

I get it when I have air bubbles in my chest ('cause I can't burp) - it's horrible.. makes my whole upper back, neck, and shoulder blades hurt REALLY bad.. like an 8 on a 1-10 scale.

I frequently have upper back pain across my shoulder blades and just below them.
It does not seem to be a sign of labour for me, I've gotten it off and on for weeks, or maybe months?

I hate it because you feel like you can't breathe properly. ugh.

Not having problems breathing. Not have chest pains like I have trapped gas either. But every position hurts and it isn't going away.

It doesn't hurt in my chest, just the back.

Have you tried a heat pack? Or a hot shower/bath may help too.

I'm going to try that now. Any warmth has been making me sick, but I'm going to make an exception.

Lu-is...sorry if it my last response came out bad. Any trapped gas I get has been manifesting itself as horrible acid reflux in my throat (has disappeared since starting the prilosec) or as abdominal gas pains that wrench me over. I would be suprised if this was that, but I appreciate the suggestion

I'm having a little bit of lower back pain now as well...on and off. That accompanied with the constant crampiness I've had for weeks in my lower abdomen and a new right leg numbness down my backside. I don't know what is going on in there
