reduced movement and getting pretty worried

Hello ladies

Well I am 37+3 and I am getting a bit concerned about LO's lack of movement.

He usually is a very active little monkey and the bigger he has got the more active and stronger the movements have been (to the point of hurting) but yesterday I only felt him move about 8-10 times all day which is very strange for him but I put it down to it being warm and we all have our lazy days. Well today so far I have only felt 3 movements and I have been awake since 6am so that's 3 movements in 10 hours and both today and yesterday the movements have been quite weak compared to usual.

I have already tried all the usual stuff cold drinks, lying on my side eat something sweet giving him a good old prod and poke but nothing seems to work

Do u think I should call L&D and go in or see how he is tonight?
If I go in and he is still not being very active what are the chances they will induce me? (I was planning a nice home waterbirth when he decided to show no rushing him)

I would go in just to to be on the safe side. My OB always stresses the importance of the movement right up until delivery. If you feel something is not right, definitely get it check out. GL

I would go straight in hun. My last four appointments my doctors have stressed how important movement is towards the end, and I was told if I ever even felt like she was still moving, but not the way that is normal for HER, then not to bother even calling, just to go straight in.

Even if nothing is wrong and it gives you peace of mind, it's worth the trip I think. Good luck!

Could be that LO is having a quiet day but I wouldn't chance it for one minute. Get them to check you over. Hope all is okay! I hear baby often moves less in the days prior to birth... maybe LO is on the way! x
