Major Increase in Movement at 35 weeks?

I know it's not necessarily a bad thing, but I thought movement was supposed to decrease when you get closer to labor because the baby runs out of room. My baby was rolling around some, but seemed to be fairly quiet the last month or so, but around 35 weeks (a couple days ago) it has been VERY active! So active almost all day long! Is this normal?

It shouldn't decrease, but the big movments will turn into tucks and rolls, and body parts sticking out. My little girl has been active non stop since I was 18 weeks, lol

Yeah mine is going crazy recently!! My stomach was jumping about so much before, so funny to watch! Wish he'd calm down a bit tho!!! xx

My little girl is like an acrobat, I swear. She is so busy in there. Felt like she was playing the fiddle on my ribs last night. Didn't hurt, but it was pretty weird.

Omg! I thought I was the only one LOL Im 39 weeks now, but earlier during my pregnancy my baby girl was not very active at all and did not have any pattern of movement. UNTIL I hit 33 weeks, all of a sudden since then (EVEN til now at 39) shes just crazy with movement, to the point where one side of my stomach doubles in size and bounces when she moves and kicks and I love it lol I was scared I was going to miss out on the movement which every woman gets to experience. So no your not alone, I guess every baby is different! Be happy that is a very good sign your baby is doing very well! Congrats!

Maybe it's not so much that LO is moving more, but that as we're running low on uterus space, we can feel even the small movements more easily?

Maybe, but I know with me, the movement is ALL over the place! Kept me awake last night with it and he is still at it! He doesn't like be sitting at the computer but it's either this or tidying and I know which I prefer

Okay, great! I figured there was nothing to worry about, but I have just been told by others to expect less movement.. when I got more! It's nice to know it's perfectly normal
