OMG the pain! Hemorrhoids....TMI

So I have previously suffered from a hemorrhoid once before pregnancy. During 2nd tri and now I have been constipated and the hemorrhoid came back, but it was small. Yesterday I had a BM (didn't strain or anything though) and the hemorrhoid is now huge. At least it feels huge and it hurts, itches....and is generally making me miserable. I can't even walk for long periods of time.

Could it be because I have gained more weight? I think my bump is bigger as my feet also hurt and my back was hurting.

I used preparation H external gel but it only helps for a few minutes.

I also have been taking baths at night to help soothe it but during the day it is horrible!

any advice ladies? TIA!

i had them bad last week tired everything anasol never helped . then a poster wrote in abt germaline for it and it worked wonders . it was gone by the next day and such a relief instant

No advice hun just too say you are not the only one suffering, i am too and its bloody awful! I feel revolting! Never had piles in my life and after having constipation for 3 days i have finally got them! I only have the one but it feels huge and gangly....sorry tmi! I have been using germaloids for 4 days now and it aint going nowhere....i have started getting shooting pains around my butt region now just too top it all off and i dont know what to do myself anymore!!!! I put some ice on it last night and it did seem to help but not for long. Im fed up and feel like crying! Im just glad DH is off sex it the min as i couldnt bare him near me right now....what can we do chick??? x

Hi Susan, I read your post about germaline on another thread and gave it a go last night and it still hasnt worked on mine....i think mine is beyond treatment now! Ugh im so fed up i feel like this horrible critter hanging out of my bum is going too be with me for life!

I don't know if we have Germoline here......I wish we did. I feel so gross and ugly as well.

YUCK! I don't know what to do. Maybe I can order Germoline online. Preparation H is not really working

I had one so big that it had formed a blood clot, maybe you have too that's why it is so painful.
I was told to take warm baths with epsom salts several times a day. That worked for me.
Also I tried everything to ward of constpation and the only thing I found that wroked for me was drinking a glass of Pear juice per day.. don't know why it works, it just does

so freaking constipated, my arse feels like a bowl of cherries...hows that for tmi? ugh!

^^ WSS and apple juice. I was getting the beginnings of lovely bumgrapes but since I started eating/drinking apple every day, I've been having much more success. Thank GOD. It's just awful isn't it?

Ha ha we do have funny names for them don't we! I've just applied another layer of germaline and germaloids too my bum critter!! Will try the apple juice out aswell as I do eat an apple a day already, I just want it gone! X

I really really feel for you. I've been suffering so bad I was prescribed a steroid cream a week ago, and they still haven't gone anywhere. The pain is slightly better (very slight!) so maybe if they don't go away with germaloids/anusol ask your doctor for a steroid cream.

Mine are so big they stop me from having a BM at times it's horrendous. I've suffered for years and doc has said the only option left for me is surgery to take them away (looked into it and it is such a simple procedure) I'd try anything right now! Nothing permanent we can do until our babies are here though. Warm baths, the cream, loose cotton underwear (and if you can none at night) sanitary pads in the freezer then wear (don't work for me but I've heard they work for some ladies) and drink as much water as you can to help with BM's.

Hope they go soon for you I really do x
