Had a pity moment today at the grocery store. I was in the frozen food section picking out some things so standing in full profile view for anyone walking down the aisle. Well this "we're-too-cute" young athletic looking couple come walking by and I hear the guy say "oh my god that's huge". I turned to look at him with a look that said "I heard you and you're a douchebag" - his girlfriend/wife looked embarassed.
I have to admit though it made me feel kind of bad.
I know it's all baby but geez. Made me just feel like I must appear so huge fat and awkward - and apparently enough so that people feel the need to comment out loud as if I cannot hear them. I'm pregnant not deaf! I was almost naive enough to think being pregnant was sort of cute - but then I am reminded how disgusted some people are by it.
I had a similar thing happen when I was 39 weeks and in a bikini (yea ok I was asking for it) and some one goes "omg look at that chicks tummy, shes huge"... I kept on walking but knew they were talking about me!
Oh no! They said that???? UGH!!! Seriously some people are soooooo RUDE and ignorant!! I'm sure you look fabulous!! 39 weeks...everyone's belly will be nice and round at that point. The young guy...is just THAT...young AND a guy...sadly these two are not always a good mix.
Wait until one day HIS wife is pregnant...he will get a dose of reality if he makes a comment like THAT to her...sooooooo rude...and mean...and horrible.
Hang in there sweetie...you are sooo close to having your baby...and you AREN'T naive to think pregnancy is cute...IT IS...and dont let people like this, stop you from enjoying the very last few days being pregnant. hugs!
