worst nights sleep EVER :(

Hope it isn't a sign of things to come!

Went to bed about 10.30,. woke up three times between then and 1.30 for the loo,. and then couldn't sleep. I had really bad pains all night

I eventually had to go and lie on the sofa for a few hours, finally went back to bed about 6am... and to make it all worse,. i had a horrible dream that I lost the baby

and now im in work can't wait for my holidays to start....

Ah hunni that sounds crappy Sorry you have to work on top of all that.

I had a crappy night too. Lots of cramping, achy back and pelvis and LO is very low and using me as a punch bag 'down there' and sometimes it wakes me up. Not to mention the peeing... So I can certainly empathise!

When do you start mat leave? Bet you can't wait! X

I do have one of those maternity pillows,. but it's not great. Tbh i think it's more used for feeding etc,. so it's not great for sleeping with The peeing thing is getting worse,. the last 2 nights it has been every hour almost ! Not fun!

I finish up for maternity leave 3 weeks on friday! I will be 36+2 weeks! this is my last full week tho, i've taken a few holidays in the next few weeks so i'm only doing 3 or 4 days. I actually thought 36 weeks might be a bit soon to stop.. but the way i'm feeling i wish it was sooner! xx

i'm actually a little worried about the pains i had last night... i've had pain before and put it down to ligament pain, but last night seemed worse and lasted longer than usual.

does anyone know if this is normal? the pains are hard to describe x

Not to sound like a hippie, but try lavender oil. They sell it at the chemist here in Australia, not sure about the UK. I burn some in an oil burner before I go to bed, or you can sprinkle a bit on your pillow. It really does help me sleep more soundly (although I still get up to pee once or twice).

I am feeling your pain, I have to get up every 60 to 90mins max for the loo from when I go to bed till I get up at 5.30am. Then a full day of work when I am exhausted. Went to bed at 8.30 last night as sooo tired but still awake completely at 1.30 then drifted off but up every hour to pee. I was in tears this morning as just had enough. Can't wait for bubba to be born now, I know she will keep me up but at laest I will get more sleep between feeds as I won't need the bathroom so much.

I seriously want to punch anyone who says that in the face and I'm NOT a violent person. "you think you can't sleep now....?!" grrrr.

Hopefully you can have a little catch up when you're on mat leave. I've been having a few sneaky afternoon naps
