Has anyone had a Doppler scan for the umbilical cord?

On Friday I had a growth scan and the flow in the umbilical cord was high.
Apparently this means that there's a lack f oxygen and blood to the baby.
I also hVe high amniotic fluid.

I am back for a doppler scan today just don't know what to expect?

Any advice would be great! Xx

Pretty much the same as a normal scan only it was a doctor that did my first one and midwives who have done them since. I have had 4 or 5 of them now. Theyt usually have a quick check of baby then find the cord and take some measurements and readings - they usually have the sound on when they do this x

I've been getting dopplers every day on my two girls (in the hospital on bedrest). A's has been fine but B's is considered abnormal. The blood flow is restricted. They do it every day to make sure that it is not affecting the development of baby B. As long as it stays where it is (which I've been told is the 95th percentile) then it's not a big deal. If it goes higher, they will still continue with this aggressive monitoring just to make sure it isn't affecting baby's growth, activity, and blood flow to the brain. Best of luck with everything!
