broxton hicks ... how many a day is normal?

Hi ladies,

I'm pregnant with my second baby, and have been getting bh off and on. The last two days I have been getting them quite often. Or what seems to be bh anyways!! I wake up in the morning and my belly is really tight, throughout the day...at night...I'm not sure if these are even bh to begin with. But my belly just seems soooo tight all the time...
So how do I know the difference, when should I see my doctor if at all about the bh...
My husband is so consumed with work, and I am busy taking care of my 2.5yr old son...my husband thinks I'm always paranoid and tbh its starting to tick me off. Grrrr...MEN!!
Anyone help me out? Thanks

I was having a lot mainly when I worked or started doing too much. I asked my doc and he said at my stage which was 33 weeks that they allow 6 in an hr and if I have more than that drink water, lay on my left side, take a warm bath, put my feet up,and relax. If they keep happening then to go to l&d.

Thanks! I will keep this in mind! I seem to be getting them quite often through the day and everyday. I don't remember this from my 1st pregnancy...so this is sorta new for me.

I don't think there's a "normal" amount, but my doctor also told me that if I'm getting 6 or more in an hour I should lie down, and if it happens again in the next hour I should call.
