I think it is about how big or small you were pre pregnancy. If you are small-average you should be putting on around 2-2.5 stone in total. I am very overweight. I should only be putting on as little as pos but no more than 1-1.5 stone. So far i have gained 6lbs. Given i have 12 weeks left if i can try not tks put on more than a lb each week i should be on target x
Weighed myself today and realised I'd put on 14 pounds since becoming pregnant which sounded quite a lot to me at the time. Anyway, happened to mention this to my husband who started freaking out that this isn't anywhere near enough, that I should be eating much more and that the baby will be underweight. It upset me quite a bit as I have actually eaten loads and although I generally prefer healthy food I do have regular treats. But now I'm worried in case I should be worried. Any advice please? It's our first so we don't really know what's 'normal'
You are lucky! I put on nearly 3 stone cause I been eating a bit too much junk food!
Long your baby measuring fine etc not a problem. Most weight pregnant women put on is through over eating but you can say that is the perks of being pregnant!
