hello to all the mums out there whether you have children or are expecting children im feeling abit down about my weight before i got pregnant i was big to start with and it wasnt planned so i didnt get a chance to lose any weight im really excited about becoming a mum im due 21st of may and im having a little boy so far i have gained 15lbs and im 33 weeks but all together i weigh 17stone 12lbs i feel huge any mums out there who are big like me too. i hate going to town and seeing slim women with a little cute bump and i look like a whale lol and i dont feel attractive for my boyfreind even tho he tells me im beautiful
Try not to worry too much - it's natural to gain some weight in pregnancy and not everyone is tiny with bumps. Your body is doing an amazing thing now carrying your child and you should be so proud of that. I myself was big having JJ - still big now lol - and quite a bit bigger than you are too and I did feel the same as you sometimes but then I came to realise the wonderful miracle my body was performing.
I used to be a lot bigger, then lost a lot of weight and was really tiny for a while, then gained a bit back and was just right, so now I am pg I have gained more this pregnancy than any of my others even though I still weigh less I have gained more if you know what I mean which has shocked me as I am not over eating, but I am now gaining over a lb a week!!!! I am worried i will end up big again like I used to be a few years ago at this rate.
I am a fairly thin girl...and I must say that 15 pounds at 33 weeks is not a lot. The rate you are going you aren't likely to break 20 pounds total weight gain. That (at least in the US) isn't considered a lot at all.
I know what you mean about feeling self conscious and not believing your OH when he tells you your beautiful I'm the same. I must admit I am a slim girl but have gained almost 2 stone since becoming pregnant and because I'm not used to it I feel awful and so self conscious. I think that's the worst part of pregnancy for me. Not meaning to sound like a hypocrite though but keep your chin up n try and hold your head high because I bet you do look beautiful and we shouldn't care what other people look like or think. My mum says to me if your really bothered about your weight you can do things to lose it after the baby is born but don't start worrying about it now xx
I'm a larger um as well and have so far put on 14 lbs at 33 weeks. Your weight gain is fab and you will lose that and more when the baby comes.
You lose about 25 lbs when you have a baby and then loads more if you breast feed. Thats what I'm planning to do - I'm 15 stone 2 lbs at the mo and really want to be about 11 stone so am going to kick start the weight loss once the little one is here x

i'm only 28 weeks and have put on 12lb and was feeling pretty good about that! i am finding the weight gain thing hard though, i've spent most of my life on a diet, so it's weird to be putting on weight and not being able to do anything about it. it doesn't help that i'm hungry all the time!
keep listening to your boyfriend until you believe it!!
