I've just seen you're based in Derby as am I. Are you having your LO at Derby Hospital? I'm a few weeks behind you and I wondered if you could give me a low down on you're experience once you've been through it! I feel a little cheeky asking but I feel I know nothing about the place especially as they don't do tours anymore.

I'm taking
Old sleepsuit and vest and hat for after birth as they can be a bit messy this is the same outfit Joshua had on just for sentimental reasons really!
3 blue baby grows
1 unisex baby grow (just in case!)
3 vests
3 blankets
Coming home outfit
2 socks
1 scratch mits
3 burp cloths
3 muslin squares
2 dummies
1 pack of nappies
1pack of wipes
Sudacream
Pressie from baby to Joshua
That's it really. I took way to much last time so have tried to keep it to the basics this time.

In babies bag there is
5x babygrows (in new any which is a middle ground for me between tiny baby and newborn. If you ever show me a baby that actually fitted in 0-3 when they came out I think I'd probably die from shock)
5x vests (3 newborn 2 tinybaby
3 x hats
3 x socks
1 cardigan
1 leaving outfit (just soft and cute nothing fancy)
7 x bibs
2 x muslin squares
1 x blanket
24 micro nappies
1 x wipes

Of course I am delivering there, i've no tlived in derby that long nearly 3 years so the hospitals im used to are no were near as nice or even as lean for that matter so it may seem a lot better to me than it does you if that makes sense? you will need to remind me though i've a memory like a sieve pregnant or not lol I have been in the delivery rooms there ok, private bathroom as you'd expect, TV the staff are wonderful, always polite and nice (or so i've found) they have mirrored windows so you can see out and there are people walking about out there but they cant see in, its a bit strange tbh....

were abouts in derby are you?

I will be taking 4 sleepsuits, 3 newborn and one 0-3 months in case he is huge, 3 long sleeve vests and 3 woolen vests as it is winter when i am due. 2-3 pairs of socks, 1 pair of booties, 2 woolen hats and cardigans + a woolen hat for after birth that will probably get dirty, wipes, nappies, 1-2 swaddling wraps, 1 blanket for the carseat, 1-2 pairs of scratch mitts and i think that is it

That's good to know. I've only heard good reviews from friends but would have loved to have been able to have a tour. I live in Repton just south of Derby. Where are you based?
