Oh the pain! :(

Today is the most uncomfortable I've been this far. My pubic bone has been a bit sore for a couple weeks but today it's ten times worse. And I'm getting crampy feelings today besides the normal hip cramps I've been getting. at least none of the pain is unbearable. I'm thinking my baby, what has been "really really low" (according to l&d nurse and my OB) for the past couple weeks, has probably engaged. No certain way for me to tell until my appointment next week if I make it that far. *sigh* Physically, I can't wait for him to be born but mentally, I don't think I am as ready.

Well, I had my 38 week appt and my OB told me that what I am experiencing is from her engaging. I also have felt her low my whole pregnancy and the last 3 days she has been so much lower. It's so painful, I can't even walk. It feels like I have a bowling ball between my legs.

I feel like my pubic bone has been broken in half and welded back together. It's not a sharp pain but a sore burning kind of pain. Maybe like its bruised or something like that.

Mine felt bruised too. But what I am experiencing is a whole new thing. It hurts to move my legs in any way. Walking, sitting, getting up from sitting or from bed, tossing and turning in bed etc. I hate being told it's normal. It's very excruciating. Luckily it'll all end soon

I know how you feel. Today is the first day that ANY movement hurts. It used to be just rolling over or gettin up. Now it's any movement even if I'm just sitting.

Ugh. My poor hips! I feel like a whiny baby today. But I'm sure my right leg will fall off in the night. Is there any relief available? Do ice packs or heat help anyone else? I don't have any Tylenol or anything to take for it. And baths are out of the question cuz it's uncomfy to lie in the tub and difficult to get out of.

Nothing works for me unfortunately! Only hot baths. But I can't live in it lol so it is only temporary. It's agony!!!

From what you've been saying it could be SPD. Talk to your midwife about how much its hurting you and she might be able to help you. Mine referred me to a physio when the pain got too bad.

In the meantime, I find lying with a pillow between my legs helps a little at night (not a lot but enough for me to get some sleep) and in the day heat packs and paracetamol can be a lifesaver.

Hope this helps x x
