I've been hearing this a lot too, but ever since I found out my due date (May 7th) I was sure he would be an April baby. As we get closer, I still feel this way, especially because my mom went 2 weeks early with both of us, and my aunt went 3 weeks early with her first, and 2 weeks early with the next 2.

I won't lie, I'd love for baby to come at 37 or 38 weeks. He's already quite large and I'm doing a natural birth so I'm a little concerned about tearing. Nobody knows, maybe he'll come at 42 weeks. Hopefully I don't have to wait so long to meet him

i have had the oppsite of a lot of you with the epidural thing, I have said how i would love one if they would have given me one, i asked in all 3 labours and was told no, and people say oh why would you want one, err well coz it hurts and I dont like pain so why suffer if you dont have to, but no if I said I would never ever have one and they are evil someone would be, oh you wont be saying that in a few weeks, people always have to have something to disagree with you about

Ugh I know! I get this because I'm carrying very low. My aunt keeps saying, "That baby is so low, she's ready to go!". It's so silly. Everyone carries differently.

grrr I hate the 'first babies are always late' comments...what a thing to say to a pregnant woman who is constantly symptom spotting and getting her hopes up! =P plus that isn't even true so why bother saying it.

and the epidural thing really annoys me. my mum always laughs and goes on about what a low pain threshold I have because of the time I screamed when getting my legs waxed...for the first time when I was ELEVEN years old! it's been almost 10 years and they're still not over it. of course that must be a perfect indicator of my pain threshold mother *mutters darkly* ¬_¬ x

Omg! I had the OPPPOOOSSSIITTEE problem and its so frustrating! I was told by everyone they think im gonna pop early (even though its my first) Now that im 4 days past my due date, EVERYONES SO ANNOYING ABOUT IT! Like I can control it. Jeez I wonder why people dont understand how annoying they can be to pregnant women, After this pregnancy I made a vow never to ask a pregnant woman a question again!

Yes, I hate when People assume that you will need help with pain. If they had an epidural then how do they even know what it's like without one?

Women have given birth since the beginning of the human race without pain relief so we're definitely capable of it.

I don't tell people that they shouldn't have pain relievers during labor even though I would prefer not to. What is best depends on each person's situation and feelings.

I got this with my first too. My sister went late with all 3 of her babies and she would constantly tell me I would go late. Well I went into labour 5 days early and I was in total denial. Didn't even want to bring a bag to the hospital because I was sure they would just send me home....after all first babies are ALWAYS late....right? WRONG! If my hubby hadn't forced me to bring my hospital bag I would have shown up and had none of my stuff.

Now I'm hearing that since I was early with my first, my second will be too....I'm not holding my breath. She will come when she comes.
