Had one yesterday and it didn't hurt as bad as my last exam did last week. I think because last week my cervix was higher so it felt like she went in elbow deep lol! It was more uncomfortable than anything really. Anyway, aside from slight cramping, increased painless BH, and a more "electric" feeling cervix , nothing has happened. And this is with me being almost 4cm and about 70% effaced! I'm surprised I am not in labor yet, I am almost half way dilated with no pain
Thanks ladies. I think I am definitely going to go ahead and let him do it. I'd much rather do this than have to be induced chemically at a later point. Plus he said I was ALMOST already 3cm. He didn't say how effaced I was - but the time before I remember I was 50% - so I am at least that if not a bit more by now. So I am really crossing my fingers that it works.
He just did a regular check yesterday and good grief felt like he was digging for China in there. I actually had some spotting and irregular yet painful contractions all night from it. I thought he might have started my labor. I felt a little bad for baby because after each contraction he would just kick like crazy. Poor kid was getting "hugged" pretty tightly I think!
I was tempted to have hubby try to "jump start me" but it was just too painful in there already lol. He probably would have looked at me like I was crazy with the way I was carrying on and then to ask him to do that lol.
Anyway - really hoping the sweep next week works if I am still hanging out by then - which I think I will be!
