high bump at 38 weeks = overdue?

hi girls

I'm 38 + 3 today and have just come from dinner with OH family.. they all couldnt get over how high I was carrying considering I'm due in almost a week and a half. they all kept saying there's no way I'd go any time soon cuz im way too high

which of course is not what I want to hear!!! I want him out already and yes I know theres a chance I could still be weeks away but i guess i just wanted any stories or experiences of carrying high late in pregnancy but still not going over??

I know they can drop at any time but now I'm paranoid ill go way over.. i guess im asking even though he's sitting high now, could i still go at any time or does it generally mean it will be a while away??

I don't think it means you'll go overdue, I heard you can drop while in labour!
I'm the opposite everyone thinks ill go early cos I'm so low but I know I won't :P

Hi I'm 38+3 too and my baby still hasn't dropped. Midwife said she guessed I'd make 40 weeks. I so hope I don't go over! Has your midwife said whether your baby is engaged or not?

not really

at my 36 week appointment i hadnt and at my 37 week she just told me he was sitting in pelvis as he should be, but didnt really say much else. i still feel him very high though

who knows.. i hope we go soon though!!! think i would want to shoot myself in the foot if i went to like 42 or something lol
