Rubbing castor oil into bump?

Has anyone heard of this, or even tried it. Its supposed to help induce labour and help ripen the cervix?

You would drink it for it to help but it's not recommended as it puts baby in distress during labor causing them to poop inside of you.

Yeah i know about drinking it, theres no way id try that. Its so not worth the risk.
This method is supposed to be the safe way of using castor oil (none of the sitting on the toilet lol). But i just cant see how rubbing it on your tummy would work.

not heard of rubbing castor oil into your bump, but I have heard of rubbing clary sage essential oil into your bump, but you need to add a few drops to a mixer like almond massage oil and don't use it neat! Apparently it stimulates the uterus from outside and the smell has something to do with it too I think x

Yes make sure you tone down the clary sage - I think something like 2 drops to 10 of a carrier oil. I use olive oil or bio oil. Accidentally made it a little too strong the other day and had a very itchy irritated bump!

I haven't heard of using castor oil externally I'm afraid.

I was wondering the same thing. I heard you could rub castor oil on your bump and blow dry it or put a heating pad on it.
