Really bad stomach acid!!!

To the point indigestion stuff just isn't helping anymore

any hints to help prevent it? Even water sets it off! It's getting to the point when I go to sleep I'm waking up choking on it

I have an appointment at the docs about it on Tuesday to see if he can prescribe me something stronger.

What have you taken? Only thing that's worked for me is ranitidine x2 a day x

Ranitidine = Zantac is safe. Also, Tums (solid) & Diovol (liquid) are safe during pregnancy

Sleep sitting up. This will help with the choking.

I am unsure what Zantac is but it may be similar to Omerprazole? that is prescribed by the doctor and it works wonders for acid reflux and heart burn almost over night as long as you take it the same time each morning half an hour before eating. I find it far superior to gaviscon, tums and mylanta personally

Gaviscon and all the old wives tales on the world stopped working for me..... I'm now on omeprazole once a day from my Dr.... Totally has eliminated my acid full stop. Been on them 3 months now and I couldn't live with out them. Acid got to the point of waking me up and it being in my mouth and all sorts.... Nice!

i have exactly the same thing! been debating buying zantac this wk end as it's easter wk end there's no dr til tues...... tonight has confirmed that i need to do something (2am, am dog tired but had to get up due to the acid) its affecting everything, my appetite, grumpyness levels and sleep!
