scared and worried!!

hey girls... so i had my 28 week app tuesday and bubs was doing great!! plenty of fluid movement etc. last night i had a pretty bad night with back/leg pain i work as a hairdresser and the standing gets painful towards the end of the week. i was awake from about 3.30 onwards and baby boy was moving loads and loads. i eventually fell asleep and when i woke this morning and got dressed etc i noticed baby wasnt moving, i put it down to the fact that he had a busy night. all day ive only felt a few kicks...really not much at all, ive drank cold water sugary drink etc and im sitting down now trying to relax. the kicks i did feel during the day feel like he's facing my back but im not sure.

so when should i panic lol... im having a really tired day so my i feel maybe if i go to bed early he'll start kicking more. i got a big kick as i was typing this lol but just wondering do babies still have slow days this far on??

thanks for listening xxxx

Hey, dind't want to R&R. At 28 weeks you're still at that stage that as long as you feel some movement, you should be fine.
I know this is very hard to do but, eat some chocolate and lie on your side. As long as you count 3 movements within the first hour, you should be fine.

No harm in calling the midwife for some piece of mind, though =)

As long as your getting kicks then I wouldn't panic hun, baby can still move into certain positions where you won't feel it as much. My LO is lazy! I've only just really started getting big kicks and seeing my bump move! I was told by my midwife to count 10 movements in a day and anything less then call advice line.

Xxx

I read that what can happen is the baby can be very active and then when it comes towards a growth spurt they can go a little bit quite again. I had this happen to me about a fortnight ago and im 31 weeks now and everything is perfect again - shes back to breaking my ribs haha x

SO HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND THIS THREAD! I am at the end of my 28 week and last friday had ym first growth scan and everything was GREAT she was moving and before then has been moving a lot with what felt like powerful moves lol and then the next day comes and ever since last saturday i feel like her movements have gotten SO LESS frequent AND less powerful and has been freakin ME OUT!!!!!!!!!! Have another scan on Monday so that will put me at ease...but I DO think they are faced toawrds our back right now at this point in pregnancy...but then again at my appt her head was down on the right side of my abs BUT i don't know if she was turned around or face forward...I have also heard about the growth spurt and them being a little more quiet, but you get so used to them moving then when it slows down its really scary, very worrysome...AHHHHHH!

I had a couple of days at end of second/beginning of third trimester where she was very very quiet. You're right at the point where your baby's starting to grow really fast - baby's probably just resting up for the growth spurt.
