For ladies who have had their bloody show - pls answer my silly question!

Alright, I know there are no magic tricks or big red flag signs, I'm just whiling away time here...but please humour me, lol.

Did your bloody show come out of nowhere, or did you have anything leading up to it? Any period pains, lots of BH, backache etc?

Can't help wondering as I'm waiting patiently on mine, though I know it might never actually come or I could totally overlook it. I had mine with DD2 literally an hour before my contractions started.

I've been losing my plug now for well over a week, having lots of niggles and cramps and sporadic period pain - just wondering if it's possibly going to amount to a show soon? Even seeing it would help tide me over with all this waiting!

I wish I could answer...but I never had a bloody show with either of mine until labour actually started. I find the symptom spotting a nightmare at the moment. I'm only using white toilet paper to check for plug and blood!...I had convinced myself I will go over again but part of me can't help wondering.......... X

It's infuriating, and you're well ahead of me so I can imagine it's much worse for you.

If I hadn't gone at 38 weeks with my girls I wouldn't be half as obsessed, then the preterm labour and the fact I've had a couple of start-stop episodes/slow labour/dilated to 2cm isn't helping me either, grrrrr!

As this one's a boy I have everyone telling me I'll go over, but can't help thinking to myself, 'Ooh, if he's like the girls my waters will go any day now and he'll be here by Tuesday...'

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

My Dr yesterday said that my sons head has dropped and is lowering into my pelvis and how he could arrive in the coming week. . I, too, am a serial tp wipe watcher.

I've been trying really hard not to be a wiper watcher, but it's so tough. Can't help it. I do usually at least have some plug, and I have had a few *hints* of what might be a show coming soon (i.e. plug tinged with a little teeny tiny speck of brown or pink...remember looking for faint BFPs? think along those lines) but so far...nothing concrete.

Come ON full moon - do your work!!

with my first and third babies i started having lots of BH for a couple of days that would be 5-10 min apart. on the second day of this i started losing my plug and having some show. they were both born 3 days after the first contractions and a day after the show.
my daughter on the other hand (second baby) i went to the hospital and was 6 cm dilated and started to have lots of show then. i hadnt had anything up to that point.
im wondering if this labor will be like hers....
