sweep and + 2 station

I had a membrane sweep today. They told me I'm 1 1/2 centimeters dilated not effaced very much, and I saw that he wrote down a plus 2 station. Holy cow, I knew that she had dropped but that's just crazy! Wish me luck that this works!

good luck! Why did they sweep you so early? I was checked last tues and was 2 cm hopefully 3cm at this next appt.

I didn't get the station though I will ask.

This is my third kid and I tend to have them on the larger side. So if I don't go into labor on my own, ill be induced at 39 weeks.

oh wow how big were your other two? This is my third also.. I am hoping I will deliver early. I was 5 days late with my first and a day early on my 2nd... so maybe 5 days early this time..? lol.. I can hope!

New to this, and not far along enough to have these things explained to me.. what does +2 station mean? U and everyone else is excited so yay!

It just means how far down into the pelvis the babys head is.
