I'm 28 weeks, If I was going to have stretch marks on my belly would I see them now or do they show up after birth? I know its vain but I'm really worried about that because I see friends and its terrible.
I dont have any...yet (knock on wood). But they can come at any point in the pregnancy. A lot of the times they come in the last few weeks of pregnancy. I have never heard of them coming after the birth though..
I don't have any on my tummy but have some on my hips which showed up at about 32 weeks and on my thighs too at around the same time. Have heard of alot of women getting them when baby drops and even after birth.. sorry to say. Fingers crossed though
I didn't have any until very recently. I only noticed them last week. None on my belly, but one on my breast and a few small ones on my hips. They really don't look so bad. I believe they often fade after giving birth. I wouldn't worry too much about it.... Every woman is different. Even though your friend may have had ample stretch marks, it's not all or nothing. There's a wide spectrum in between.
I hoped I might get away without getting any stretchmarks because I put on quite a bit of weight slowly over the few years after getting married, and lost it before getting pregnant, and didn't get any.
However I noticed some last week, just underneath my bump, not too bad or dark luckily, and at least they're quite symmetrical lol.
Thought id gotten away with having none - not gained excessive weight, drank water and used oil every day since BFP but they have started appearing this week (35 wk) just on one side though! Saying that, I have loads from prev weight gain so I think I've faired pretty well I expected to be riddled by now xx
