Baby Cade's Labor Journey - We tried it all!

On Saturday at 39 weeks I was frustrated with false labors and wanted my baby out. I drank Rose leaf tea, went for walks which made me contract Saturday night but they faded.

11pm I took my first dose of Castor Oil (2tbsp)
Sunday 1:30am Loose stools and strong contractions
4am regular contractions stopped, now irregular
12pm used breast pump
1pm went for a walk sporadic contractions
2pm took 2nd dose of Castor Oil no bowel movement and no contractions
5pm went for a walk having stronger contractions
9pm called doctor because every time I stood I contracted, she advised to either go to the hospital or come in to her office the next day

Monday April 2, 2012
6am dressed for work
7am got out of my car at work and started contracting, husband drove me to the doctors office
10am Doctor sent me to the hospital to induce current early labor
11am Pitocin started
12pm Water broken by the doctor 2cm, Internal fetal monitors placed on babys head
1pm epidural
2pm epidural not working on the right side, nerve endings were damaged and had to be numbed
5pm - 5cms
6pm- 7cms
9pm 7cms
10pm - 7cms cervical arrest emergency c-section
10:35pm Cade was born!! 6lbs 9ozs 20inches

My pelvis was too small for the baby.

I think the Castor oil would have worked otherwise.

Ive had a rough recovery and still have troubles walking. I have a lot of post surgery and post pregnany edema. It took 4 days for my milk to come in.[IMG]
