How are you relaxing before LO's arrival?

Last night i came to the realisation that my little guy will come when he's ready and nothing i can do will make him come before. I also realised that these last 3/5 weeks are going to be the last time i can just have 'me' time, such as extra long bubble baths or spontaneous trips to McDonald's drive-thru.
So i need ideas on how to relax/pamper/entertain/distract myself. How do you ladies treat yourself and stop counting down the seconds and minutes to your due date.

I am making his birth announcement cards now so when he is born all I have to do is pop in the relevent information and a pic and send them out. I can't imagine trying to make them when he is here, if I did that they would never get done. And cleaning lots and lots of cleaning seems to be distracting me. Except for now that i'm on maternity leave I can't sleep at night

So far, I've nested, then nested some more, and some more again. I literally have nothing left to nest with now.

Today, I'm going to touch up my roots with a semi-permanent dye (I'm dark but naturally blonde), have a nice long leisurely hot shower, get into my favourite slouchies and spend the day eating chocolate, fiddling about on here, watching dvds and maybe napping cos I couldn't sleep last night.

I'll probably also do some more laundry - whatever I can scrape together out of what I'm wearing now and the couple of bits OH has - and if I get really really bored, I'll just mop the floors again *sigh*

If all else fails, I'll go and talk to the sheep in the field next door.

I'm still waiting for my nesting to kick in.
The eating chocolate and watching dvds sounds really good, may have to also stock up on chocolate, especially when all the easter eggs go into the sale!

We don't have sky! I might have to sign up for lovefilm or netflix! One month free trials.

LOL dont blame you. Ive been a Sky customer for years and i always cancel it and they ring me up with offers, so i go back to them for a while then cancel when the offer ends and so on lol. This time they rang me up and offered me all the sky packages for 6 months for free. I was like yeah whats the catch? But there isnt one except i just need to cancel it the month before the offer ends, which i have made a note of when i need to ring up to cancel lol.

If you sign up to blockbuster at the moment you get free dvd or blu-ray rentals for 2 weeks (1 free disc a day). I managed to watch all the newest releases I wanted within the 2 weeks and it didn't cost me anything!

Ooh this is a good tip! Going to try this

Have you tried getting into a series? Depending on your taste, there are some good things out there. At the moment I'm loving Gossip Girl (mainly for Ed Westwick - ggrrrrrr) and Desperate Housewives. Something a bit grittier you could try The Big C or Mad Men.

I'm rubbish at sitting and watching TV unless I'm really invested in it!

I also got an android tablet recently and I've been downloading loads of really absorbing books. I can easily lose 3-4 hours that way without realising it!
