Packed my hospital bag, and just realised...

That this was the day last year that we decided to officially start trying for a baby and flushed all my pills down the loo! And now we're expecting our 1st baby in just over 6 weeks!

It was my birthday on Thursday, and I remember we had the chat that day, but it took us a couple of days to "do the deed" and decide to get rid of my pills. Although we technically then went into NTNP for a couple of months, it feels odd knowing that this was the day it all started a year ago! And today I packed my hospital bag, just in case this LO makes an early appearance (I like to be prepared!).

How is everyone feeling this Easter weekend?? xx

So nice! I had exactly the same plan out like yours. Decided to finally give up on contraceptives and attempted for baby... If it wasnt followed by severe MS up to about 20weeks, it was pretty memorable! LoL!

Not to be a killjoy but it isn't safe to flush meds down the toilet, especially hormonally ones like oral contraceptives and anything really toxic (like cancer drugs). Medications leach into the water supply and cause all kinds of problems for people and for wildlife. They aren't easily removed by ordinary sewage treatment processes. If you take medications back to the pharmacy they can dispose of them properly and they will do this service for free. A lot of people don't know this but something to note for next time.

Congratulations on being almost there with your baby! It's a great feeling, eh? It was just less than a year ago that we ditched the birth control too... All the best for your labour and delivery :-)
