Ive got a few toys for each stage as they grow.. for newborn I have bouncer and swing, little stuffed animals, soft toys that rattle, a stuffed butterfly that's wings crinkle, an elephant with a mirror in the belly, little wind chime animals that attach to stroller a play mat etc. If you don't know what to get just look at the store all of the toys that I have say what ages they are suitable for on them.

We just got those rattles and teething stuff really as well as the stuffed animals. Newborns won't use them much until they are older like about 3 months or so

The only toy we've bought so far is this ...

Too cute! But as for newborns...our family are buying us a playmat and other things he can be entertained with for the first few months! Might buy him a cute teddy or comforter!

All I got a couple of cuddly toys, a play gym thingy and a rattle type thing.

I don't think they need much when they're so tiny.

They really don't need toys the first couple of months. We have them because we received them as gifts but we know he won't be ready for them right away. My advice is to hold off on purchases because you will almost certainly get toys as gifts when LO is born. All the people who visit will not come empty handed.
