Question about weight...

I read you should be gaining about a pound a week, and that half of that goes to the baby. and i have herd baby gains about half a pound a week in third trimester...however if you are not gaining weight and some weeks loosing weight how does your baby still gain weight if you are not or if you are loosing?

Read it on baby site it made out you HAVE to gain a least a pound per week for baby to gain. im confused how does baby gain if your not or if your loosing?

Babys are basically parasites (lovely, i know)...if they cant get what they need from your diet they will take it from your body stores. Therefore they will continue to grow even if you lose weight.x

Yeah, dont worry...the baby will always take what it needs from you...whether that be calories, vitamins etc. Thats why our nutrient intake requirements are higher in prenancy. Its more for our benefit than the baby. We can easily end up deficient in certain vitamins/minerals at this time since we have to meet babys demands first. Ur wee man will be growing just fine i'm sure x

Ive hardly put on any weight, (6lbs) baby is actually measuring ahead though, as long as you are eating enough try not to worry about it, your body will do what it needs to do x
