I had this fear up until last week. My 20 week scan showed boy but when she was looking it looked less boyish than Jacksons did. I still went out and brought all boy stuff though.

Had a growth scan last Monday and had 2 different sonographers (one was training) and they both looked for us and he is definitely a he!!

I think its pretty uncommon for them to be wrong, though I've heard it twice on here now

Xx

I sent a link to the other thread to my MIL, who really really wanted us to find out the gender, but we are still team .

That freaked me out too. I would be absolutely GUTTED if my little boy turned out to be a girl. It's be the same if I thought I was having a girl and she turned out to be a boy too. I've just bonded with my son as a he now. I have been told at 3 different scans that he's a boy though so really hoping he is xxx

I know what you mean ladies, I honestly didnt mind either way if i had a boy or a girl, but since i've been told by 3 different sonographers that i'm having a girl I think i'd be slightly upset if they were all wrong. Dont get me wrong though, i'd still be over the moon with a little boy, i'd just be stunned!! I have a potty shot (somewhere), will try to upload it xx

I am having a girl and have had 3 separate hospitals confirm this!

I know how you feel, hoping they tell you the right gender as I'll be a little upset at the amount of money I've spent on girl things.. But, just happy baby will be healthy.

That thread freaked me out too! Obviously, the most important thing to me is having a healthy baby. But I've just really connected with this baby thinking she's a girl, if that makes any sense.

Anyway, although there have been maybe a couple posts about being told the wrong gender, 99% of the babies born seem to reflect what was revealed on the 20 week scan. I'm sure there's a small margin of error, but I think ultrasounds are very accurate today. I was told girl twice - once at 20 weeks, then again at 24 weeks during a private scan. Here's hoping!

I have definitely been shocked, what with modern technology, at all the stories I have been hearing lately about boys turned girls. I never thought that was possible...I was under the impression that girls can turn out to be boys, but not the other way. Given the simple fact that there's either a penis, or there isn't.
And I am a tiny bit worried that, what with all the boys clothes we have (and all the girls stuff I've donated) , they'll say "It's a girl!" When he's born. Not that I would love her any less than him, but it would be a shock. One I don't really want, just because I want to be prepared.
