My beautiful daughter Kendall Rose arrived April 6, 12:33 am. She was 6 lb 10 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. I was 39 weeks and 1 day.
I had a sweep at 1130 that morning at my midwife appointment. I went home and hubby was rubbing my belly when I felt a POP at around 3:00. I stood up and my water gushed everywhere. I was getting contractions, not too painful 5 minutes apart. Headed to hospital and was found to 4 cm dilated at around 5:30. Contractions got extremely painful in my back especially so I got an epidural. at 11:30 they checked me and I was 10 cm dilated. I did a "practice" push and the baby's heart rate dropped to 80. They rushed me into a c-section. Well the drama continued. They could not get her out she was wedged in the canal. The doctor said that my daughters face was staring at them in my incision but they tried to get her out. I was hearing scary words like get another doctor "stat." Felt tons of tugging and finally they were able to pull her into the world. It was the most beautiful cry I have ever heard after a long time of tugging. My husband went with her and she scored a 10 on the APGAR! The doctor said that is unheard of. She is perfectly healthy. She had the cord wrapped around her leg and she was back to back with me.
Although it was a crazy labor and not what I expected (even though I went to 10 cm quickly and my pushed were effective, I am thrilled to have her here)
I will upload pictures when I leave the hospital tomorrow! We are so in love
Here are pictures of Kendall... The first one is the first day we brought her home! And the second one is me and her in the hospital together. Goodluck to all you ladies and see you real soon in Baby club
