failed 1 hour glucose test :(

I am hoping I will pass the 3 hour on Wednesday because I can't have our daughter at the birthing center like I want to if I have Gestational Diabetes

please anyone who prays say a prayer for me!

Dont stress too much! It's fairly common for women to fail the one hour and pass the three hour one.

I'm sure things are fine, but I'll be keeping you in my thoughts. (:

I failed my 1 hour as well but passed the 3 hour. The nurse told me it's pretty common to happen that way.

Me too. I failed the 1 hour, but they said I did great on every single one of the tests they do for the 3 hour one. Hope it goes the same for you!

Just got the call that I failed my one hour today also. Just wondering, did you have to fast for the 1 hour???

You're not required to fast for the 1 hour test. But what you eat before it can greatly affect the results. I failed my 1 hour as well, probably because I'd had a sandwich (white bread, my diabetic Dad says it's as bad as sugar) right before the test. Passed the three hour test with room to spare.

my doctor required fasting for the 1 hour test, that was rough enough I'm not looking forward to the 3 hour one
