I'm just starting a new job but my maternity clinic wants me to come in to get bloodwork done to be checked for chicken pox and measles. Since this is a new job I just don't see it worth it to miss a day to be checked for chicken pox (which I had already as a child and you can't get again). Ugggh, I just feel like this is so unnecessary but the clinic is insisting I can't miss this appointment because this is what all mothers have to do... really? measles? Is it that serious? If I had measles I'm sure it would be obvious.
If you come in contact with chicken poxs hun although you have had it you are at risk of developing measels which is not very pleasant and worse for the very young, old or thos expecting. Best be safe than sorry
