Would DTD work straight away?

If its going to work?? Or could it take a while?

We DTD last night bout 11ish, felt a bit crampy afterwards and woke up a couple of times in the night feeling BH and back/hip ache. But now I'm up, nothing!!!!!

I'm presuming it hasn't worked

Come on baby you NEED to make an appearance today or tomorrow, but I really don't want my sweep so make it tonight

Xx

aww, good luck

I've been DTD and it hasn't ever done anything.. have you tried pumping and/or nipple stimulation? that gets me contracting pretty good

I really wish I could try nipple stimulation but they are so sore! I had a go in the bath a couple of nights ago and only lasted about 10mins and then read somewhere you have to do it for at least an hour

I thought OH gave me a good "sweep" last night too but obvs not

Think I might pop to the shops later and get some pineapple and clary sage

Xx

Depends if you've been active in that department before. A good walk did it for me last time - we headed out and I felt twinges walking up a big hill near our house. By the time we got home and had tea I was in full on labour. Did the same again the next morning to try to get things moving as it was taking so long but he still wasn't born until midday the day after lol.

Just my view but I do think that baby will come when they're ready but I was told by a number of people that a high level of activity can help - women in the 40s and 50s were encouraged to do washing/scrub floors to put baby in the right place and to stimulate labour. I was on my hands and knees painting on my due date, and my labour started 2 days later lol.

I was DTD regularly throughout my pregnancy with my son one 2 days overdue we had a good session and I tucked a pillow under my bum with legs up hoping the spermies would do their job and it worked within 5 mins!
