when do they book your induction.... uk

HI all I have my 40 week appointment next Wednesday when I will be 40+2. I'm really annoyed as my midwife is fully booked so I'm having to see another midwife. At my last app my mw said if I was engaged next time we could talk about a sweep. I really want this as am dreading going over. At what app do they book you in for an induction? My 41w won't be until 41+3 which only gives them 2 days before the max 12 days they let you go. Has anyone been left longer. I know 2 people who have lost babies right at the end so I don't want to wait longer. I'm so angry I wasn't able to book my apps earlier and now at this really important one have to see another mw.

I honestly have no idea, can you call your midwife and discuss your concerns with her? Xxx

Here in the UK they book your induction over 41 weeks. Mine is tomorrow and i will be 40+11. I think they allow 40+14 days for induction. My induction was made at my 40 week appointment when i was 40+4.

As long as I'm given a date for induction and get a sweep next week I'm happy. I'm just so annoyed I have to see another midwife. I'm such a worrier too

I had to see another midwife different to my usual one and she turned out to be really nice and down to earth and she did my sweeps too. Don't worry you will be fine.

At my hospital you are given a 40+10 apt where you can either have a sweep or be induced. I was given my apt for 8th may at my 36 week apt, it's nice because I've got a date to work towards xx

My midwife said they wont do a sweep before 40+3 but at that time they will book your induction for 40+14 and you can have a further 2 sweeps in the days between.

Every MW differs

. I had a MW in the UK until I went to Channel Islands, I have a diff MW every time I have an appt.. But, I've been booked for a sweep day before my DD.
I think MW in UK don't do anything until after your 40w.

depends on the hospital! why not give them a ring and ask hun? Mine book you in for 40+10 (unless you dont want induction)
